well heres the deal guy/gals
we run in the 6.0 and 7.0 classes here locally in knoxville tn we run a .400 pro tree and a few of the other guys that run it are freakin deadly on the tree im talking .001,.002 every freakin pass and they are all running dead on with a 0 or a 1, for one I dont think its possible to cut that kinda light every single pass and run dead on every pass as well, the last 2 seasons 1 particular person has won every race except 1 and in that case he went -.001 red....here is my question is there some kinda light sensor/flash detector that will release the trans brake off the flash of the tree??? me and a couple other buddies have heard of these things in the past and not sure if its for real or not. anyone care to elaborate???
any help would be appreciated
Thanks Brad

Are they running a delay box?? My buddy is deadly accurate on the tree by letting off the button on the top bulb and they can dial in there human delay and distance from the beams. If you stage in the same place every time then you can be fairly accurate.

Any device that reads the tree would always be late. It takes "x" amount of time for a car to move once you left off of a break and press the gas. More often than not, they are leaving off of one of the top lights with a delay.

After reading what I was saying, All that it can be is pratice off of a tree.

I know that with a delay box you leave off the top light, but on a pro tree there is no top light its all 3 at once so how will a delay box help? you cant put #'s in a box to make it faster than what your natural instinct is letting off the trans brake.

well, it could be possible they are setting it after both cars are prestaged and staged since it's a pro tree...only thing I can think of

Still the man between the cars has to press the button to start the tree.

some tracks use autostart feature. It is a preset time after both cars turn on both lights.

we dont use the autostart program here lol we're from TN man....you think us rednecks have autostart? seriously the old man has to start the tree...if anyone knows how to build one of these so called flash detectors/light sensors please fill me in so I can cheat with em
