Well now that "Rattle Trap" is up and running, Peter has started on Project "Oiler". He is going to be doing cam & lifters swap along with all new gaskets, clean-up engine bay and a little body work to his 92LX.
It begins....
Motor coming out.....

Long Block cleaned up and fresh paint....Thank God it's not "Ford Racing Red" this time..LMAO
Little more painting with Peter's supervisor overlooking the work..hehehe
Arthur tuning a dowel on the lathe
Motor should be back together this evening. Monday the engine bay clean up begins.

im just curiious as to why everyone puts those stock manifold/headers back on a motor once its already out... they look like they are twisted and crushed at points...
oh and the engine was in its "rust prevention" mode...

THE OILING WAS FINALLY GETTING ON MY NERVES SO WAS THE CASH KEEPING OIL IN IT!!!! THE REASON FOR KEEPING THE STOCK MANIFOLDS IS SIMPLE UNTILL THERE ARE AFTERMARKET HEADS ON THE MOTOR THERE IS NO NEED FOR AFTERMARKET HEADERS THERE JUST OVER KILL!!!! ;D

If were asking questions, Whats the deal with the hose clamp on the clutch cable and the wire going to the MAP sensor from the relay??

THE WIRE DOSNT ACTUALY GO TO THE MAP ITS A POWER WIRE FOR MY ELECTRIC FANS THE RELAY IS FOR SAID FANS!! AS FOR THE HOSE CLAMP IT WAS A QUICK FIX FOR THE MISSING C -CLIP THAT RETAINS THE CLUTCH CABLE!

The cable wont fall out of the bellhousing... will it?? I havent ever had a clip or clamp on mine.

Even with stock heads, there has been proven power gains with mandrel bent headers. Looks good though!

PROJECT OILER HAS ENTERED THE BODY WORK STAGE AS MOST OF YALL KNOW! I TOOK IT OUT TO HOOTERS ON SAT AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD THE MANGE OH WELL I STILL HAVE A BLAST DRIVING IT! IM ENTERING THE FINAL SANDING GETTING READY TO SPRAY THREE COATS OF HOT ROD BLACK ON FRI.
