what? ive noticed when i take my key out of the ignition, its like really hot. Does any body know why?

Change the ignition switch ASAP. This condition could cause overheating, smoke, and possibly fire in the steering column area of the vehicle.
My friend had his mustang burn to the ground back in the early 90's, because of Ford's faulty ignition switch's.

ok, when yall say ignition switch, do yall mean the lil box under the dash, or.... the key igniton switch, cuz 50resto.com they dont have the key one. so thats why i ask. yea ive already heard about the recalls, and ive already run my vin and my car didnt have the defect. :/

ok, so its not the key switch? yea i know how to replace that lil box. its not that bad. thanks for yall help

we just replaced the key bob thing and switch in dusty's hatch. easy install and no more problems from his switch. spent less than 20 bucks total at local autozone.
