I got a 2 post lift at the house. Been wanting on for a LONG time. Found one on Craigslist for $500 and talked the guy down to $350. Drove to look at it and my car is making a heck of a noise(kinda like the throwout bearing noise most of you heard at mustang week) but it wouldn't go away with clutch pedal position. Got to his house to get a good look at the lift and I'm down a hole, missing bad, popping back, etc. Come to fine out he's a mustang guy too, 3 foxes, powerdyne supercharger, etc. He lent me his tools and shop for 3 hours to get it all fixed, removed both valve covers, rocker arm just backed off and fell into the spring area. Reinstalled and but it back together, runs like a dream, but had to pay him $400 for the lift when we were all said and done, but still well worth it. Its a Lyons Lift made in 1982 (yes 5 years before I was born, lol.) but it still works. Getting the concrete poured next weekend and install it a couple days later.

Congrats, it would be real nice having your own lift. Good to hear that is wasn't nothing major with your car.

I was about to $h!t a brick when it dropped a cylinder and started that evil pop through the intake. The day I got my motor done I was taking to the guy at the machine shop and he said "You didn't set those rings up tight did you?? I have had 6 or 8 motor break the top off of KB pistons with the rings setup on the tight side". AHHHhh I was puckered up tight when it started to that tick.. tick.. tick.. knock.. knock.. knock..
