If you have a fuel pressure guage on the rail then take it off and get a manual guage with a hose like a snap-on or mac. We had a car doing they same thing it was a 95 with a 5.0 and a 255 pump. We worked and worked on it but found the little fuel pressure guage 20 psi off. Just turned the fuel pressure up and it went 1.2 seconds faster in the eight. But you had to have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

i need to get down to trai's so i can hook it back up as a wet kit, and try it again. need someone with more experience. i put a cold air intake and a fuel pressure regulator on it (stock) and it feels stronger on motor, tried the nitrous as a dry kit and really couldnt tell a difference, plugs looked ok though. may have to put it on the dyno for some more troubleshooting...

wet or dry kit? is activation switch working? are the gaps closed on the plugs to keep them from blowing out?
