Ok before to much longer the 87 and the 90 will be needing new stocks & struts. What are your ideas. I'm sure Kelly will want a smoother ride, and I will be wanting a firm handling for hitting the curves in the mountains. One thing to remember is we don't have a lot of $$$ to spend.

KYB is pretty good for a cheap shock/strut combo

I'm thinking of replacing my front struts soon, are there any insulators or bearings/mounts that need to be replaced as well?

If you get KYB Buy the expensive ones! the stock replacements only have like 60lbs of bound resistance but like 500 on the rebound. In a nut shell they will slam you ass but let you up nice and slow. For the track (road) they are killer but everyday.......I would rather hit myself in the head with a hammer everytime I hit a bump. If you have a great DOT they I will sell you some KYB's that I have had for 2 years and ran for about 11hrs.
Bilstein, will NEVER disappoint! They cost about 1 arm a hand 9 toes and an eye but hey they kick ass!

i have the Strange Engineering 10-ways... biggest pieces ever for a daily driver or to take a corner with... Tokico makes some nice stuff... i wonder if the Mach1 Shocks/Struts would fit a fox, i think they are 1" longer tho maybe... they are Just Revalved Tokicos and do great with the C/B-springs everyone runs...
im planning on putting stock stuff back on my car eventually, i hate these strange...

I have the strange adj 10 ways on all 4 corners and think they are fine. But then again I'm also fine with daily driving a fox with 4 cyl springs and no sway bar.
