The new year that is!!!! First off Jan 1st I laid around the house all day sick.
Get up from work on Wed. morning, start the 87, let it warm up. As I started up the road, i heard this awful sound from around the bell housing area. Well it was 4am in the freaking morning, and cold as hell. SO i wake Kelly up and have her take me to work. Boy was she happy!!! LMAO I was 15 mins. late first day of the new year. I get home to find a freaking large piece of Tar Paper stuck under my car..LMMFAO Took it around the block and all is well..Cool!!
Well I get up this morning, let the stang warm up again at 4:30 in the cold ass morning!!! Head up the road, hit the bank teller for some cash and on up Hwy 25. I get on the Southern Connector, and about a mile before the toll booth, I noticed the temp gauge rise to the very hot side, then drop back slowly. I'm thinking, maybe the thermostat had stuck. As I roll up to the booth, it dies on me, and steam rolls out from under the hood..Fucking GREAT!!!! Well I push it over to the side out of the way and give Kelly another wonderful wake up call.....Boy was she happy!!! It was cold and dark, so I just left it behind their building, came home and clawed back in bed..LOL I'm waiting for the roll back to call me now, so I can get the POS home AGAIN!!
I really hope this isn't how my whole 2008 is gonna be!!

Well I got it home round 5pm today. Popped the hood and found a split about 6 inches long in the lower rad. hose. By the time I got back from doing some running round, it was getting to dark & cold to work on it. I'm gonna get off at 2pm tomorrow, and start on it when I get home. I let ya'll know what happens.

That sucks to hear Bones. Wish we lived closer, because I have both the upper & lower radiator hose with less then 1,500 miles on them you can have. You can still come pick them up for free if you want. ;D

Well the 87 will be down for a bit. Got the lower hose on yesterday, flushed and added fresh antifreeze and water. Started it up, everything seemed fine, no odd noises or anything; so i'm thinking sweet! Once it ran for bout ten minutes the temp gauge started to move every so slowly, got about half way up, then took off toward the top. I shut it off to check the coolant level. Rad cap was cold to touch, but as I took the cap off, there was some major pressure behind it. After it sat for an hour or so,i tried to start it (just to get it out of middle of driveway) , it would spin over freely but run. It would fire for a sec or two and die. I don't know if there is a blown head gasket, cracked head or block; but for now it will sit. I'm got to get Kelly's 90 back in the road, and do some major TLC to the Exploder before I touch the 87 again. Mustangweek 2008 might be the second year I don't have a stang there.
